Facilities Update
Dear Bellevue families,
We were recently alerted to the possible presence of mold at Bellevue. Our Facilities team inspected the identified spaces and found several classrooms with closets that had dirt on the walls. We are unclear at this time whether or not it is mold. Out of an abundance of caution, we have begun our standard operating procedure of a) proactively sealing off those classrooms, in order to b) clean and conduct air quality testing, and c) remediate if testing indicates it is needed. All students in impacted classrooms have been temporarily moved to other classrooms until we have confirmation of clear air quality testing.
As our team works to determine the extent of the issue, as well as consulting with experts on our next steps, we would like to extend appreciation to the teachers who alerted us and the Facilities team members who responded promptly.
We will continue to keep you updated and appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work towards a resolution. Please know that your students’ health and safety — as well as that of our staff — remains our number one priority.
