PM Update
Good evening, Bellevue Community,
Since returning to the building, teachers and staff have expressed their excitement about being back home and their joy at being together with their scholars again.
I am excited to announce that all rooms at Bellevue Elementary School are cleared for re-occupancy. Please note that this is the last daily update you will receive. As noted below, we will provide monthly updates going forward.
Facility Updates:
-
Air Quality Testing: Room 304 has received clearance for use.
Test results are attached.
-
Humidity: Relative humidity throughout the building has been in the 47-53% range.
Humidity levels below 60% inhibit mold growth, so maintaining very low humidity is an important part of our defense against future mold growth.
-
Ongoing Remediation and Monitoring: The HVAC system throughout the building has filters that will continue to clean the air and trap particulates. We have also kept the circulation fans turned off to reduce air movement between rooms.
Air will continue to be monitored via the above system, including the addition of additional HEPA filters, before the circulation fan is reactivated at a later date.
As with any older building, we will continue to explore potential sources of moisture to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Reporting Facilities Concerns:
Staff members who notice any maintenance issues or climate concerns in their areas should report them directly to the school principal or the Facilities team.
Thank you for your patience and partnership over the past couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to an absolutely fantastic year ahead!
With great appreciation,
Jason
